Avid Pro Tools 9: run now without dedicated hardware
There was at Avid (Digidesign previously) previously strict division between the pro-segment and the entry-level segment, the gap with Pro Tools 9 now much narrower. As the successor of Pro Tools LE and Pro Tools M-Powered supports the new version 9 without additional name in the future both hardware lines. In addition, Avid opens with the new version but also the market of audio interfaces from other manufacturers.
